I spent the morning reading radio transcripts on reviveourhearts.com. Today I focused on marriage, as I have been really convicted to truly live out my priorities, day by day. I happen to believe that my marriage should be my second priority - second only to the Lord.
Today was a great reminder to "tend to the Garden" of my relationship with Bryan. Romans 12:1-2 tells us to not conform to the patterns of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. I don't know about you, but if I am not careful, there are many "weeds" that grow up in my thought life - especially concerning my marriage. I was challenged to PULL THOSE WEEDS!!!! Identify the wrong thoughts and replace them with TRUTH!!! I think we are all a little scared to read the Song Of Solomon, but it is FULL of verses that can transform our thoughts about our spouses and our marriages. For example:
Song of Solomon 5:16 "His mouth is full of sweetness and he is wholly desirable. This is my lover, this is my friend."
It is only by memorizing and meditating on the Word of God that our minds be transformed. I was amazed by all the sweet thoughts I had about my husband as I meditated on this verse this morning.
Let's go to war against satan and FIGHT for our marriages. Will you join me??
